With America's huge black population and fatherless society those gun laws are outdated. Easy access to guns is a disaster. You need strict gun laws like Canada to make America safe again.

In states where MJ is illegal, does that stop anyone that wants it from getting it? Yes, it affects the person that wants to obey the law, it doesn't stop the person who doesn't care about laws. Same applies to guns.
