Best of birthdays, shared with us and with your beloveds,
to you.

you are one of the finest here, a list that has maybe three or five on it....

so much has happened since we had the seahorse cam - feels like every year now brings a decade of events.

You know you remain in my heart!

Re: Almost forgot........98 today!!!
Happy Birthday!!

chorus

The things you have seen in your life ... I hope you have recorded them and your impressions of them for posterity. If you haven't DO IT THIS WEEK!! Seriously!!

My own dad who died, sheesh almost 50 years ago, saw and did a lot but didn't leave a recording of the for those who came later, particularly for his grand children who he never lived to see.

My was born in 1897 and his dad took him by train /trolley car /hike the final mile when he was 7 in the fall of 1904 to see the Wright Brothers fly around Huffman Prairie in circles, the first year they were able to do that (and most people, yep even in the government in DC, still thought "flying" was impossible, just a made up story). He lived to see the advent of small planes, then bigger planes, then finally jet airplanes, got to ride in them all, and even got to see man land on the the moon. To see Radio appear, then television, then color television ... died too early to see the internet but was keen on the new computers that then were populating businesses. To see electricity come to the various towns and cities and finally rural areas across the country. To see the advent of the automobile ... which freed most people from only being able to travel by train or trolley car (reality check, most people did NOT have horses). Oh the list for him goes on and on ... just like it does FOR YOU.

MAKE A LIST ... and then RECORD YOUR MEMORIES!! If nowhere else send a copy to the local Historical Society and the Library of Congress, both will store it ... but if you have family that recording will be one their most treasured possessions that they receive from you!!

May you live a good life for another 20 years, not just two!!

Happy Birthday. hf

Nope. 83 here. shooting for 100, but doubt I'll make it. But who knows, never thought I would get this far. My life is good, and I am blessed with children and grandchildren that love me.

Jeez, I had no idea that you're pushing 100, OT! Happy birthday and may you keep on truckin'.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

– Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project
