Its not a rapture. The rapture doctrine is false. It is the resurrection and then the hapazo(catching up) happens in our new bodies after we are raised from the dead first and then like enoch those that are still alive will get new bodies and be caught up also.

The pre-trib rapture is based on this passage by Paul.

1 Thessalonians 4

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Key phrases.

0. "we which are alive and remain"

Those are Believers - including Elect - that weren't killed prior to Jesus' return. Remain from what? The Tribulation. These are the same that Jesus states 'he who overcomes' etc...

1. "THE coming of the Lord". Jesus returns once. No scripture states otherwise.

2. "trump of God". This is the "last trump" that Paul speaks of in 1 Corinthians 15:52. For further reference, see the Seven Trumpets of Revelation. This is echoed in Matthew 24.

3. "caught up together". This is the First Resurrection mentioned in Revelation.

4. "in the clouds". Jesus used the SAME phrase describing His Return.

5. "alive and remain" also matches the words "endureth to the end" (Matthew 10:22) "endure unto the end" (Mark 13:13) and "overcometh" (Revelation 2:26)

6. Jesus returns "after the Tribulation".

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation

of those days shall the sun be darkened,
and the moon shall not give her light,
and the stars shall fall from heaven,
and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

7. Tribulation is not wrath. Scripture proves this.

Question is though as a Christian who is saved, and other Christians know what that really means, do the details of the rapture and other details of events really matter? Or are they just a curious thig to discuss?

First question, if you’re really saved do you keep all the commandments or at least try? Do you observe Sabbath which is on the seventh day, do you not eat unclean foods like bacon, are you totally devoted to YAHUAH and do you do all that our Messiah did as an example to us?...this is just a few questions to ask yourself...if you cannot do even those basics then you have to rethink your salvation. I know what you’re going to say as far as salvation, I was the same, but now if the Holy Spirit truly lives in you then you’ll be compelled to do those things...no if’s or butts about it! At least try to do the best in obeying the commandments that are relevant to our times..

Of course some of those commandments are not all for you, i. e. if you’re a male or female, a farmer or a business person...try to obey the ones that relate to you, at least keep the Sabbath as he commanded us to remember. Funny how it is the one commandment that He said to “remember”...

You’re right tribulation is actually for the believers not the unsaved since they’re already lost, it’s the final test we’ll have to endure, till the end...and if it means you’ll lose your life for Him then it is the endurance proving you’re truly His sheep!

Pre-Trib believers would have us believe that even though Christians have been going through various tribulation for the last 2000 years that we won't have to go through the Great Tribulation.

That makes no Biblical nor historical sense.
