Pandemic EBT or PSNAP ends May 31st

Not trying to justify EBT or SNAP because I don’t think it should even exist but just pointing out that when COVID started they put Pandemic SNAP into effect which basically gives families the full amount of money on their EBT card instead of basing it on their income. In other words a working family of 4 may only qualify for say $300 a month but they may have been getting $800-900 during PSNAP. So for the last couple years they have gotten used to that extra money and the increased food costs due to inflation haven’t really hit until the last year so they have been using that extra PSNAP money to pay for inflation at the supermarket. The last PSNAP payment comes at the end of May and when it is used up there are going to be some pissed off people. Just an fyi.
