I'll kill any stray dog that I feel is a threat. I've done it many times in the past. Dig a hole, out of sight, out of mind.

I had a couple of dogs in my yard attacking my chickens awhile back.

I grabbed a .22 not intending to kill them, but scare them off or I'd have grabbed something bigger. They were too into the chickens and a warning shot didn't phase them, so I aimed and shot one of them in a leg.

They left and I called animal control because they both had bandanas around their necks and were clearly pets.

The Sheriff's Department called me inquiring and asked, "Why didn't you kill them? Next time kill them. You're allowed to defend your property. It makes everyone's jobs easier."

Animal control showed up to look for the dogs later that evening and the first thing the guy said was, "Why didn't you kill them? Next time kill them. It makes my job much easier."

Good to know I have permission to kill something that is fucking with my property. I will happily make everyone's jobs easier.

Many years ago I worked with a guy who used to walk his Siamese cat on a leash. The cat got out of its collar and ran into traffic. The cat was hit with a car and was killed. The dude went home and shot (killed) himself. Sad story all the way around.

Even here in Libtard California, it is 100% legal to kill any dog that is attacking, harassing or worrying livestock.

Chickens are considered livestock.

I have dispatched several dogs over the years that came onto my property and were attacking my animals.

Too bad their irresponsible owners didn't keep them where they belonged.
