Anonymous Coward User ID: 78882782 United States 05/24/2022 06:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | He says we are in a trucking depression. He has never seen fuel prices so high and freight income so low. He has not seen the normal seasonal flurries for Memorial Day and July 4th. A lot depends on the refrigerated trucks. The call these reefers. He recommends keeping the fuel tank full and to top up when it is half way empty. I am not sure I understand that because it seems it would be heavier and take a little extra diesel to transport the diesel. Maybe it is not significant. But I do not understand that statement but he is very adamant about it. Perhaps someone can explain why. |

Its about having enough so you have range in case you can't find any nearby. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77055715 Robot electric trucks will be introduced after it really tanks. Good luck with that. The U.S. have barely any money left to wipe their ass, talking about robot electric trucks, which involves tens of trillions of $$$ in infrastructure, is like living in middle ages and wanting to have internet. Not only that it will take multiple U.S. GDPs, but also 2-3 DECADES, before a robotic electric trucking infrastructure will replace the current HUMAN, non-smart highways and fossil fuel infrastructure. The stupidity of people (mainly Americans) living in la-la land, unable to understand the basic principles that are required to replace current trucking for some Hollywood movie robots driving electric trucks, is truly amazing. Hing for idiots : the problem is not making a robotic electric truck. The problem is making millions of them WORKING on a SAFE and SECURE networking of streets, roads and highways.
