14 school children shot dead in Texas today.

This is so sad.

If one teacher had a gun, the shooter wouldn't have had many targets.

I feel terrible for the parents.

Funny thing here is that I'm on the West Coast and an earlier radio report on one of the big AM stations said that there was no one injured and that a person was in custody. Extremely odd.

Or maybe the admin knew him since he was a Uvalde high school student. The Misses has been a elementary school principal in our smallish ISD for several years and once a month the high school seniors come over to campus and meet/greet with the students for an hour. The kiddos love it.

Any unknowns who wish to gain entry must first have DL scanned then be buzzed in.

We're in a very small, rural town, smaller than Uvalde even, and ALL our schools are fenced in. There is only one gate open and you can see on camera who is walking up to the school and someone must be rung in at the front door.

Except at the college I teach at. I'm scared to death after shit like this happens.
