Taiwan is no easy target. They manufacture alot of their own military armament. Most of it is unknown to the outside world and they spent many years building their defense systems.

The Chinese invasion fiasco is many years old and they took the threat serious.

Sure, China can probably take Taiwan. At what cost is the question and when its all over with what will be left? What use is a burned up island? Unless the goal is to eliminate the competition then it might be worthwhile
