How convenient...price just went up
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 82216744 More important....supply went down. Quoting: last one So from an evil person's perspective, the great thing about a train derailment like this is that even 43 train cars of potash doesn't seem like a lot. And in real numbers 43 train cars isn't all that much. I mean it's probably well over 100,000 pounds of fertilizer but in absolute numbers that's practically nothing. But what normal people and even very smart people don't necessarily catch is that when it's a 43 car train derailment, You're looking at a minimum of 48 hours that line itself is down. This will disrupt train schedules a full region in every direction. Where the supply chain is teetering already, it's definitely going to have a greater effect than it would in normal times Quoting: roguetechie81 Exactly. 100k lbs is nothing to scoff at, but your overall point bears weight. Fluster cluck.
