So many of these kids that take hormones end up changing their minds, but there is no going back. It’s a lifelong change and they do it in the moment. It has lasting effects and many of these kids end up committed as adults or kill the selves. It’s a weird world we live in where self harm is seen as normal.

All this stuff is starting to fundamentally affect my psyche. Last night I had this disturbing dream:

I know this homosexual, masculine bio male (born male). He excitedly tells me that he's pregnant.

I walk away disturbed and confused, then later, like a moron slowly figuring something out, I say wait a minute - there can't be a baby in there, he doesn't have a uterus!

So I go to tell him, but what I tell him is that he must have an "ectopic pregnancy" (that's where the baby develops outside of the uterus). Then I'm like wait a minute - you don't have ovaries!

Now he's mad and says I'll take you to my doctor and show you! So we're in the exam room and the doctor is smoking a cigarette and laughing. On the counter is a fetus in a jar. And he says SEE! There's my baby!

At which point I woke up.

I so rarely agree with Bill Maher that this almost hurts, but he's right on this one.

I was in my 20s during the big "It's cool to be gay" trend hit our area in the early to mid 1970s. Suddenly, you couldn't find a straight guy anywhere. Fortunately, I was already in my otherwise unfortunate first marriage at the time and wasn't dating. I'll always be grateful to my ex for that.
