Wrong. ISS is exactly the correct angular size.

All you need is binoculars and a steady hand, you can see for yourself.


Docking time revised after they look at a problem.

30 minute delay while the docking ring is retracted and reset.

I've seen it a few times with the naked eye. It's just like any of the dimmer, smaller stars but it travels very quickly across the sky. It looks further away than airplanes. It doesn't twinkle like a star or burn up.

A way to measure the distance to it is to set up two identical telescopes like astro's as far apart as possible along the same latitude for example and take a photograph of the space station when it is directly between them at exactly the same time.

the change in the photos and expected reasonable lengths of the structure would suggest how far away it is.
