Anita Patel MD -AnitaKPatelMD 1/ On vacation: called florida department of health to attempt to get my 70+ in laws post exposure monkey pox after we discovered a close contact had monkey pox. Their response: “the infected individual can not have monkey pox because she is a heterosexual woman.”  That is just so scary that the Florida department of health is that stupid. No, they aren’t stupid, they know what they are doing.
