Re: The Rapture and the Tribulation Saints.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept,
Line upon line, line upon line,
Here a little, there a little.

Isaiah 28:10

Because you have kept My command to persevere,
I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world,
to test those who dwell on the earth.

Revelation 3:10

In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

John 14:2,3

Come, my people, enter your chambers,
And shut your doors behind you;
Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment,
Until the indignation is past.

For behold, the LORD comes out of His place
To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;
The earth will also disclose her blood,
And will no more cover her slain.

Isaiah 26:20:21

Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth,
Who have upheld His justice.
Seek righteousness, seek humility.
It may be that you will be hidden
In the day of the LORD's anger.

Zephaniah 2:3

For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion
;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.

Psalms 27:5

"Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?
Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.
Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.
But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,'
and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,
the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,
and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites
. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Matthew 28:44-51

But take heed to yourselves,
lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life,
and that Day come on you unexpectedly.

For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass,
and to stand before the Son of Man.

Luke 21:34-36

For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery,
lest you should be wise in your own opinion,
that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Romans 11:25

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1Corinthians 15:50-53

It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord:
I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know,
God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven.
And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows—
how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

2Corinthians 12:1-4

Re: The Rapture and the Tribulation Saints.
I always thought the average protestant's pining for a rapture had more than a little bit of 'holier than thou' or 'let the heathens burn' attitude to it, which is not Christ like at all.

If Jesus wished for all to be saved, why do you not?

Why do you want to be whisked away, letting everyone else suffer?
 Quoting: BLACK GHOST

german3 It's hard to deal with your twisted thinking, but I'll give it a go. First off if I wished for people to miss their chance of salvation I'd say nothing, they are already on the broad and easy road to hell. So why disturb them?
'Why do you want to be whisked away.' Because I believe in the Lord's promises to those of us who love Him is why.
'Why do I want everyone else to suffer?' You are projecting the darkness of your own heart onto me.
It will be your own fault if you miss the Rapture and are left to suffer the hell on earth that will immediately follow. You are in love with your sins and know instinctively that you will have to make changes that you will find difficult. I had that problem, I was hardly a sweet innocent child when I heeded the call. But where there is a will there is a way, and the Lord is patent and long-suffering towards us. Today we are still in the Age of Grace, so I strongly urge you to turn to the Lord and stop wasting what little time you have left.

Heb 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Heb 12:10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Heb 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Isaiah 13:9-11

To make the land a desolation;

Zephaniah 3:8
“Therefore wait for Me,” declares the Lord,
“For the day when I rise up as a witness.
Indeed, My decision is to gather nations,
To assemble kingdoms,
To pour out on them My indignation,
All My burning anger;
For all the earth will be devoured
By the fire of My zeal.

Job 20:28-29
“The increase of his house will depart;
His possessions will flow away in the day of His anger.
“This is the wicked man’s portion from God,
Even the heritage decreed to him by God.”

But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.
Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?
Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.

Jesus said to pray to be counted worthy to escape the things that are coming.

Guess what that means?

That means some will be counted worthy to escape the things that are coming and to go stand with Jesus!

Jesus didn't tell us to pray to be counted worthy to escape the things that are coming
unless some will be counted worthy to escape the things that are coming.

That's what He said.

Do you believe Him?

I do.

What about the many millions of people who have died in the Lord in the nearly 2,000 years

before the time of the Great Tribulation?

1. The 'Last Trump' happens. 1 Corinthians 15:52

2. Tares removed first. Matthew 13

3. Dead in Christ are resurrected first. 1 Thessalonians 4

4. 'Alive and remain' folks meet Christ in the iar. 1 Thessalonians 4

:jbase: The Last Trump that you are referring to in 1 Corinthians 15:52 and the Trump of God referred to in 1Th 4:16 are two separate events.

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Re: The Rapture and the Tribulation Saints.
:bridec: The Age of Grace is very nearly over, very soon the Rapture :brideA:

will take place. The Restrainer will be taken out of the way and horrors and mass death worse than any of us can imagine will engulf the world in a flood of darkness.
The Satanists who rule this earth for a short season know this. On Tuesday, May 17th there will be "disclosure" in Congress, in the first public hearings regarding UFOs for over 50 years. The real reason for this is that they know that the public will be crying out for answers after the Rapture takes place in front of their eyes. Many of us know that the true purpose of such shows as Star Wars, Star Treck and so on is to draw people away from the Lord. 2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. They will continue to lie about the Rapture after it happens, and the sad truth is that huge numbers of people have been made ready to believe their lies.
The Tribulation Saints will be people who were for whatever reason were not right with the Lord before the Rapture. Lukewarm Christians, Agnostics, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and many others from all walks of life and throughout the world. Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
But be warned, nothing is guaranteed. Your life could be snuffed out in an instant from a nuclear bomb, or some other means before you even get the chance to become a Tribulation Saint
Remember that the Rapture can happen at any moment, in the twinkling of an eye. You have still been blessed with a little time, so if you have not made your self right with the Lord, turn to Him now with all your heart and He will be quick to hear you. But don't take all day about it, you could be hit by a bus tomorrow and then where would you be?
 Quoting: Judethz

Two words not found ANYWHERE in scriptures.

At least the concept of "tribulation saints" exists.

The rapture is pure hogwash though.

That is my fear for these people and if true believers, why in the world would one fight so hard against 1) not only sound doctrine that proves the rapture as reality not once but many times over and 2) not accept the free gift to get out of this fallen world and be with Christ because God’s judgment in the form of Satan’s wrath here on earth takes place immediately after the rapture? Bible is pretty clear about this. I just really don’t understand it unless it’s a purposeful attempt to deceive.

Do you think "the day of the Lord" is only one day?

:blinker:rose You make a good point.

2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Judethz, I’m reading through some of this thread and these attacks at you are completely baseless and asinine. Thank you for spreading the word and you’re biblically correct as the pre-tribulation rapture is sound doctrine and God’s word. Don’t let them get you down. Keep being you. hf

Those that fight the Rapture so hard

do not want to be Raptured.

Would Jesus Rapture them against their will?

Afterwards, they will obviously know what happened, and then know what they will be facing, and many may become the most faithful witnesses at that point... at the cost of their lives...
