Zelensky will have Kiev nuked. If a full-scale attack on Crimea is not met with a nuclear attack on Kiev, NATO will know that Russia's nuclear doctrine is just bullshit. CRIMEA is Russian soil. Zelensky might as well try to take Moscow.

That can't be the next step, but I believe Ukraine will give it their best shot after Mariupol and the southern region is recovered.

Look at the maps from the last couple of weeks. The Donbas is lost, and the entire southern portion of the country is cut off all the way to Moldova. Ukraine is done without a massive NATO intervention on the ground that would probably be met with buckets of sunshine.
