Why does supposedly freedom-loving FL have a 3 day waiting period before you can take possession of a gun?

Why is FL so restrictive? I thought it was a haven of freedom. Friend passed background check, but reports they can't pick up their paid for purchase until 3 days later. In Ohio, you get it right after you pass the background check. Crazy!

The store owner gets to shoot and sleep with every gun before it leaves. Just like kings and wives in the old days

Because that the average time a knickgurr can stay out jail is like 2 days, hence proper gun control is built in!

Its a common sense law...so people in a fit of rage dont walk in buy a gun and in that rage kill someone.

Ironically face to face sales are legal in FL and there is no waiting period.

Any gun I may or may not own was purchased legally in Fl via F2F so there is no reord anywhere on what i may or may not own.

Yes it sucks here, don't come here and tell everyone you know not to come here and if you know people that live here convince them to leave and take others with them.

Thank You

Re: Why does supposedly freedom-loving FL have a 3 day waiting period before you can take possession of a gun?
They only have a 3 day waiting period if you lack a concealed carry. If you have a concealed, you’re out with your firearm same day, no questions asked. That is, as long as you can produce a valid card.

If you lack a concealed carry in Florida then I don’t know what to tell you other than wait the 3 days. There’s not much else you can do.

If it’s a good FFL, they’ll call you up right away. Just do the paperwork and leave. Takes 5 minutes. Then, go back in three days.

Even at gun shows they make you wait. If they don’t, they’re violating the law and you really, really don’t want to get caught up in that. Automatic felony.
