A junior footballer has died following a medical emergency in an under-13s game.

Samuel Akwasi, 13, suffered a cardiac arrest after collapsing during a match on Saturday, a spokesman for the East Midlands Young Elizabethan Football League (YEL) said.

The incident happened during a game between FC Cavaliers Green under-13s and West Bridgford Rossoneri under-13s, with the match being abandoned.

Four years after they lost one of their sons to a mountaineering expedition, a family in Srinagar got another shock of their lives when their second son died of cardiac arrest on Sunday.

Umer Mushtaq Shah of Natipora Srinagar suffered a heart attack on Sunday afternoon and passed away. He was the elder brother of Adil Shah, one of the two trekkers who died after falling into a crevasse at the Kolahoi Glacier back in September 2018.

Mumbai: 

A 52-year-old woman doctor from Mumbai died while trekking to the base camp of Mount Everest in Nepal, a family member said on Sunday.

"Dr Pradnya Samant, a resident of Goregaon area, died of cardiac arrest at the Everest base camp in Nepal. There was no accident," he said.
