Quoting: Anonymous Coward 82718493 Winner looked doped to hell, the aggression, the speed, absolutely mental. Nah...it was actually bad handling by the lead pony's rider...once they got control Rich Strike was fine... Nope. Watch the video above. The outrider was trying to set up the after-race interview (which I've always hated) but Rich Strike was just a rogue. Yeah outrider was wrong. Needs to be fired. He just roughed up the Kentucky Derby winner. What an asshole. |

But on the BIGGEST day of the year everyone is supposed to behave properly. Lowlife ponyboy screwed up. He should have waited to take the reins when the jockey gave them up. Have either of you ridden on the track with a horse behaving like this? Do you know how dangerous it can get in a millisecond? No? I didn't think so. I have. You have no idea what you're talking about. This is going to be a thing. He will have to "pony" for hours in front of the stewards and outriders to prove he can act like a gentleman in the Preakness. If he can't, he will not be allowed to enter. Yeah, it's a problem. Let's hope he tests negative and is just a flippin' jerk at this point. |

Such drama.... Yeah. people working at racetracks really should like horses. It makes the experience better for everyone. Unfortunately lots of scum work in stalls and even the trainers are assholes. They don't pay their feed bills and break rules all the time. Behind the scenes horseracing isn't pretty. Same with greyhounds. I had to remove 2 of my dogs from a trainer who had a problems with disease and what looked like cigarette burns on the animals. |

There are any number of things that can cause a horse to do that....anyone who was on a "Derby winning team" would know that...it's actually quite basic knowledge....
