Imagine how you'd feel as the weak underdog and had just won the biggest race of your existence...I'd be pretty hyped up and full of testosterone too.

I really enjoyed that race!

What a great jockey to handle that outside position and the traffic of that field!

They got in the race at the very last minute and showed them what they had!

It was interesting to see how riled up that horse was at the end with the outrider! That is the aggressive winning spirit, plus he maybe wanted all that tack off his head pronto.

But all in all very very good Kentucky Derby this year!

I also enjoyed watching it in the Twinspires feed, which is the same as the simulcast feed.

In the past I have been disgusted with the NBC coverage when they ask a bunch of celebrities and rap stars and unrelated people about the race, like anyone cares.

I really liked the way they kept the camera on the horse and the groom and groom team all the way back to the barn.

That groom was flying high! Really great to see.

It's been a while since I've enjoyed a horse race as much as this one, and I had zero back story to any of it.

$1.00 Supertrifecta paid $321,500.

Imagine that. One dollar.

$Tree Fiddy would pay $1,125,250.00 for Supertrifecta.

I lost five bills on a straight bet for 1st, never bet what I can't afford to lose though, no biggie. Incredible race, still have butterflies, lol.

Rich Strike did injure that pony fairly badly. You can see the bite marks and at the very least missing hair.

This isn't right. In all my years, I've never seen a colt act this aggressively after a race - and trust me, I've worked with a few nutjobs on the track.

Nah...it was actually bad handling by the lead pony's rider...once they got control Rich Strike was fine...

The outrider was trying to set up the after-race interview (which I've always hated) but Rich Strike was just a rogue.

That's because he wasn't in the race until a last minute withdraw of another horse yesterday morning.

The only race I have seen better for a big comeback was Arazi in the Breeders cup, but Arazi was one of the favorites.

I think something was bothering him with his bridle.

You saw how much dirt the rear horses were eating.

Maybe the eye cups of his blinkers were full of sand.

Rich Strike did not like that horse as the same thing was going on before the race but no one was paying attention. Watch as the lead pony rider has the lead pulled as tight as possible when he should have been giving the horse a little distance.
