Since Mother's Day is a moveable holiday which means it doesn't fall on the same date each year,
the answer is yes I have to wonder if there is something symbolic to Mother's Day falling on Truman's Birthday.

He was an Atomic War President.

It does make parents nervous about loosing their sons and daughters in war. I would not wish the loss of a child on anyone.

This year is the Year of the Tiger 2022. The Tiger is the 3rd animal of their Chinese Calendar.
It's the 10th Anniversary of the "Year of the 2012 Water Dragon." The Dragon is the 5th animal sign of the Chinese Calendar.
