Doesn’t the baby benefit pain wise from mom’s epidural?

Birthing is not a medical condition. It's a natural phenomenon. Like taking a poo or getting the hiccups.

Daughter was a NICU nurse in a level 4 unit (sickest of the sick) and hated that the babies weren't given pain meds when they had to operate on them. The explanation given was it might kill the babies.

Anti depressants.

Babies have reflexes, they help push themselves out you fucking dolt.

Oldest daughter is a level 3 NICU in Dallas. I know it’s a big world but yet the extent of birthing and infant issues nowadays boggles my mind.
Why?
Well for starters my mother was one of 11 and pops was one of 6 - all born at home. In fact grandma once told me “I practically had (aunt) Janie by myself because the doctor was late”.

It’s such an industry now.

Because pain medication can decrease respirations. The baby must now breath on its own and use its reflexes. There is a period of anxiety immediately after the baby comes out and everyone is waiting to hear crying or any other kind of sound. After awhile the baby is then given an Apgar score to document it's reflexes. They don't always cry.

I gave birth at home. It still hurt like agony. It doesn’t just hurt at the hospital.

When the baby is born if you bump him the wrong way he cries and when they do the heel prick for blood draw they scream. They feel the exact pain as we do. The squeeze from the birth is skull reshaping hell for them.

Then give them a proper dose not an overdose. Their reflex would start their breathing.

It should be common for pain meds for babies in the uterus. It would wake some abortionists that babies feel pain.

I didn't take any pain medication for both of my babies.

It is skull. The baby experiences regular pain after it’s born, and earlier months as a premie. This all means the baby experiences pain when it’s being born. Probably as intense agony as the mom experiences during the birthing process. Perhaps more because the moms pelvis is being pushed apart while the baby’s entire body is being effected.

Hooking newborns on pain meds is a very bad idea. That's how you fuck up their nervous system from Day One. You would not know if the infant is in distress, reacting normally to stimuli, or eating properly.

She's saying that during birth a baby's skull is soft and flexible, which it is, in order to go through the birth canal. That is not in dispute. Suggesting otherwise is ignorance, willful or not.

It's already dangerous to give drugs to the birthing mother, let alone have the drugs enter the bloodstream of the child. One tiny drop could kill a child.

Labor was much less traumatic and painful a few hundred years ago but thanks to our polluted world women are enduring very challenging deliveries.

It doesn’t matter if birth is natural - women are offered pain meds because it hurts. My pelvic bones aren’t connected and are loosened during pregnancy so they can separate during birth and let me tell you it hurts like hell. The newborn skull bones aren’t fused , but squeeze a newborns head enough to reshape it and he will let you know how bad it hurts.
