Newly approved eye drops help people see close up without glasses
3 months ago ..
The FDA has approved eye drops called Vuity that make reading up-close easier, which is welcome news to many who rely on reading glasses.

Yale Medicine Ophthalmologist Vicente Diaz said as people age it becomes harder to see up-close.
It has to do with a part of the eye called the lens.

After that covid vaccine debacle, I don't think I could trust any new drug. If it isn't already on the market as of 2000, I won't take it. That's my cutoff point, until I receive information that leads me to believe it should be backed up even further.

No kidding. It's just about guaranteed with any drug that's hit the market in the last 10 years. The FDA is now so corrupt you can't trust anything they approve.

Thread: In 25 years of medical practice, I've never heard so many physicians casually mention in conversation how they no longer trust NIH, CDC, or FDA.

Well believe it or not most eyes drops, nasal sprays etc use distilled saline they buy from few pharma factories.
Now they are dispatching saline with graphene in it.

Possible side effect, "loss of vision".

No thanks, glasses and bifocals are just fine. I'll stick to gambling with a deck of cards.

The drops have warnings with some rare retina detachment, iris inflammation, and cornea issues so talk to your doctor. Other side effects are also possible.

The side effects are worse than what it helps

Yes. Completely sick of this. Why can they not create anything that does not have possible severe side effects?

Vuity is $80 for a 30 day supply. That's $960/year. I got my glasses at Dollar Tree. I guess they'd be $1.25 at the inflated Dollar Tree. Walmart has far nicer ones for $5.88, but they discontinued the half-rimless style that I liked.

At today's drugstores, they run in the $20-40 range. Insurance has spoiled drugstores. They've been led to believe they can mark merchandise up 500% and people won't bat an eye.

A prescription is required, too. The prescription will cost $100 or so.

If insurance covered Vuity, the co-pay would probably be about $100.

Tried it.

1) Reduces light entering the eye ... like a LOT. Broad daylight looks almost like dusk.
2) Reduces color, emphasizes blue.
3) Lasts roughly 3 hours. 1 use per day.

It'll be off the market (for this use) soon, too many down sides.

I want to believe but I feel like it's a very clever tarp. How many people who wouldn't take the vax will stand in line to never have to use reading glasses again?

Sounds like something else I've tried before

“When you use the drops it starts to kick in in about 15 minutes. It peaks in about an hour and then depending on how your body gets rid of it, it lasts for six to ten hours.”
