It should be an easy swap. Mind your input pulley size because they may be different. If the pulley on the old transmission is smaller, depending on the size of the motor pulley, you will have to either swap the transmission pulley or use the belt from the old mower. But in either case it should no be much of a headache. He is probably right. I had a reply all made up and hit post and it went poof. Probably cause of the slang word for transmission was used. Lol. Both are hydrostatic and both were in production during some of the same times. They both have Tough Torq transmissions. I would call a lawn mower repair man and consult with them.
