It will get worse. I read a short novel many years ago, and I wish I could remember the name of it. It was about the future, where a parent could have their child legally killed up to the age of 7. A little 5 year old boy overheard his mother arguing on the phone with his grandma, saying that she wants her career to grow, so she is killing her 5 year old son. Her son is in the way of making more money and getting promotions.
