GLP is full of armchair stock experts that get pins, usually they have either 1.) never bought / sold stock in their lives or 2.) have their funds invested in a mutual fund / 401k and literally know nothing about the stock market.

The former are usually the ones with "CARSH" in the thread title, you can be sure that the thread will get pinned because the other morans who've never traded or invested believe 1% drop is a "sign reminiscent of 1929."

In reality these threads are largely circle jerks of poor people who can't afford to invest in the stock market, even if they wanted to. They continue hoping and praying that the market crashes so they can feel better about their poor life choices.

It's Friday afternoon with just over an hour to go before the closing bell. I hear Federal Reserve dump trucks revving up. They are filled with lots of tax payer money. Last I looked, the djia was down almost 800 points.
Think what a ton of money it takes to move the Dow just 1K when it is in the 35K range. Billions!

We cannot let the stock market down. It cannot go down even
20% from the HIGH into Bear territory. Too damn many retirement accounts tied to the thing. Especially State, County, and City retirement funds. Many need gains of 8% a year.
