Every Man Needs to own a 1911 in .45 ACP

45 ACP is not a common round. You can find 9mm anywhere, so if SHTF good luck on finding ammo. 9mm will kill some one just the same and you want knock down power then use .556. They will blow limbs off and knock anyone down and there is plenty of ammo for it, or 12ga shotgun, that will stop anyone in their tracks. You ever seen anyone shot at close range in the chest with a shot gun? Yeah, the last few seconds of life they have is just from the shear shock of the blast and not being able to breath. NO one will fight back after that.

I like the 1911 platform, but I prefer my Sig Sauer P220. You can use both to smash someone’s head in too, unlike plastic handguns.

there basically is no legit pistol caliber, they're all too big and too slow. (besides 7,5fk but good luck getting ammo for that)

The cops in my area use to carry 45 now they carry 9mm
because they are shitty shots and need more ammo.

I had their high capacity version of the 1911 very nice pistol 14+1 rounds of .45

Now I just run with a Glock 21 in .45 although I have owned numerous 1911’s and enjoy shooting them. Classic firearm
