User ID: 81071993 Nicaragua 04/21/2022 08:59 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A friend of mine owns a moving company in New England. He said a lot of people are putting whole house contents into storage for past year, but almost no one is moving their contents to anew home. There are people paying $2K a month to store 2 shipping container's worth of stuff. They aren't selling it (like the baby grand piano that no one in house can play). They haven't bought new houses, either. Quoting: Happy in Nature Very weird post, OP. I am inclined to think that we are being written out of the simulation. Maybe we are about to have another mud flood event? That is bloody odd. Truman Show being cancelled? Weirder is that most of the homes sold were from old money families, owners from late 30s to late 50s, and do not appear to need the money. None have peeked into the storage units (which are easily accessible, hence the high price tag for the rentals), either. No lawyers have contacted the warehouse owner to let them know of estate proceedings, wherein the past he had 2 to 3 families a year distributing goods for estate sales and inheritances. My friend is a regional company who coordinates with other movers to handle moves to Florida (most popular destination always), but the majority of his business now is packing stuff up and putting it in storage. Three years ago my friend doubled his warehouse and currently there are no vacancies nor is anyone planning to move their stuff out anytime soon. Now he works with clients to find suitable rentals and still has to hire six more guys to handle the demand. He pays $30/hour to the employees, plus they get tipped well (average $400-$500 week in non-taxable tips), yet he cannot find good workers. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79315742 Canada 04/21/2022 09:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Okay, but that doesnt explain it the whole thing. Why would their whole family's social media account vanish? Why would the homes be placed up for sale then sold rapidly? And none of the names were in obits or in regional funeral homes directories. This has happened in my neighborhood. I was actually pretty good friends with my next door neighbors. Saw them daily then 3 days after Christmas their house was listed for sale and they were gone. Social media accounts gone, phones off, no one knows for sure where they are. They told us if they ever sold it would take months to get the house ready because their pets tore it up…The weird part is no one even saw them packing and their house is totally cleared out. It also will not sell which makes this even weirder. It’s like totally creeped my spouse and I out.😂 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81013289 Eerie.. If they had merely died, extended/family would've handled it through a funeral home, you would see an obituary, and the social media accounts generally remain in memorial. My first guess was people and families are being taken to quarantine camps. As a ramp-up/dry-run before the actual catastrophe. And government is cleaning up after them. But in that case we should have videos of FEMA/quarantine camps being occupied right now? will be the norm when the come. ..... |

I met him in 1992. He'd already become a complete jerk and an egomaniac. They lost it between Rattle & Hum and Achtung Baby. They lost their faith, their roots, their beliefs and probably their soul. I quit listening to them right then and there. But like the other person said, what's your proof about the adrenochrome? He's a massive alcoholic, like most Irish are. So probably completely warped his sense of morality. The Edge is a huge disappointment. |

Because the sellers did not ship the item, an no response messaging to their account. I read the ratings an it had happened to several people. My advise is to contact a seller before just purchasing. This has happened couple times last couple weeks. But this may be a growing trend. Contact the seller before buying. To make sure their still alive |

THEY ARE FULL! 25% of people are working from home. The rest are probably working some gig job part time. Half the pop is probably just sitting at home these days and checked out of society. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 25486633 United States 04/21/2022 09:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | John Keel, the late Fortean researcher extraordinaire, wrote that he had experienced this phenomenon of people just vanishing a few times during the course of his investigations. One instance that seems pertinent to this thread that I’ll try to relate from memory went something like this: Sometime in the 1970s, young man from a suburban family goes off to college, where one day he simply disappears, *poof*. Books and personal effects left in his dorm room, girlfriend and roommates baffled, cops find no evidence of foul play - just gone. Keel gets involved through a mutual acquaintance and interviews family of missing guy at the family’s home. Like the others, they have zero idea what happened to him or where he went, and received no communication from him whatsoever. Needless to say, they are very distraught. There the situation stands for some time. Keel, while researching something else that ties into these kinds of sudden disappearances, contacts the family about a year later to see if any leads developed. He’s met with a confused response from the family, who now deny ever having a son by that name in college, don’t know what he’s talking about and don’t recall ever meeting with him in their home, Keel then goes back to the college, checks the admission sheets and finds that the young man is not listed in them. Problem is, he had examined these same sheets a year prior, and seen the fellow’s name on it, clear as day. A couple of weeks go by, and he attempts to contact the family again, just to be sure he didn’t call the wrong people the previous time. Now the number is not in service. He visits the family’s home and finds it unoccupied. Asks a neighbor where the family went, and is told that the family just up and left in the middle of the night. No one saw them go, so they just assumed they’d moved. |
