Quoting: 10822R88 Hello female overy born genders….(lol) Yay to finally reaching my one year without my “friend”. Nay to the night sweats that have been keeping me up all night. Nay to the short term memory loss. Nay to my recent through the roof high cholesterol. Nay to the recent dark circles around my eyes. Yay for not having any “dry” issues. Wink The night sweats and not sleeping is killing me! I guess that’s where the “crankiness” comes in. I would love to hear what everyone else is doing.. what is working, what doesn’t, and of course what natural remedies I can use in lieu of hormonal therapy. What does my glp family have for me? How’s that for a subject change? :) How about if you just stop worrying about your own little problems, and do something for somebody else? The distraction might surprise you. |

Bragging about menopause is beneficial to no one. Upgrade your mentality with some character. Thanks. |

My husband is a hot sleeper to the point I was thinking I might have to get a separate bed because we would wake up with wet sheets from him sweating. The bedjet has stopped his sweating at night and we are both sleeping better. Sleep alone will probably make life so much better for you. I am an awful person when I'm sleep deprived. Usually ends in tears, me or someone else or both. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 82931609 United States 04/20/2022 09:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The best advice I have is to get the vitamin A out of your diet now. Cut back on all the cruddy plant foods. They’re full of phytoestrogens and beta carotene which may make you sick as you age. I’ve used progesterone for a few years but may go off of. I have no symptoms of menopause and think it could be messing with my metabolism; my breasts have grown. I suspect thyroid issues so that’s what I’ll focus on next. Vitamin a probably interferes with t3 via inflammation. Read Grant Genereux books Extinguishing the Fires if Hell. He argues all illness is caused by vitamin a toxicity. I took it for about 7 years and have no symptoms. |

How’s that for a subject change? :) My take on hot flashes is that the body heats up but forgets to turn it off- like a malfunctioning toaster one friend called it So as soon as one started I treated with a sip of cold drink to stop the process It was a really cold winter here - so I didn’t have to put blankets on the bed lol The dryness is awful - but it went away after two years or so - normal now You can get vag estrogen cream for during that time Take your vitamins and drink coffee to keep energy up m Blackstrap Mollasses was a blessing - I believe I was quite anemic and that recovered my iron and energy… and made my hair nicer Supercharged me as I got over the anemia from very heavy periods forever I couldn’t take a nap if I tried now Oh- and use coconut oil in your coffee for your brain and memory - I put a tablespoon in both of my first two cups of morning coffee - nothing but good to say about that - just do it Didn’t take any hormones - used to use wild yam capsules to regulate my periods Don’t use doctors for much Didn’t dry up and wrinkle up like an apple doll like they used to tell you about Energy fine - same ups and downs Weight fine - same ups and downs Moods fine - same ups and downs Skin and libido - same somewhat seasonal changes Nothing to worry about MAGNESIUM will help anxiety - sleeplessness - leg cramps - constipation and is super for the heart - no more palpitations like when I was in my 30’s Just take it - everyone is deficient - makes nails and skin nicer too Good Luck I was never overly dramatic about female issues … and I just ignored most things until they went away … and they always did. Never ran to doctors or took pills. Regular as a clock for 45 years. Then it stopped. Fine with me. More time and energy for grandchildren ! |

Also suffering PMS for the first time in my life, for about a year now - backache, really bad cramps throughout my body and a drop in temperature. I've heard of hot flashes but wasn't aware of cold flashes. I've been drinking cherry juice and incorporating an anti-inflammatory diet to keep the inflammation/cramping down (prostaglandin) and that's helped a bit. Anonymous Coward User ID: 82920424 United States 04/20/2022 10:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am 54 and was every 4 weeks like clockwork, except while pg/nursing and after I felt coerced into getting the J and J shot a year ago. Then I had a heavy period for 3 months, then back on track, then another heavy period from Thanksgiving to mid January. Since then, nothing. No hot flashes, no period, I never have slept much so nothing changed there. My boyfriend would say no mood swings but he's about the best guy to walk this planet so I'm not sure if he's serious. I dunno. I eat super clean, as in grow my own veggies and meat, get raw milk from a neighbor, lots of ferments, minimal grains, lots of leafy greens. I use a little weed. My 20 something daughters swear by it for pms/cramps. I cannot say enough about how minimizing wheat, and grains in general has been good for the overall health of our family. Oh..and homeopathic sepia is also great for a lot of menopausal issues. |
