i hate when people feed the birds with toxic crap they bought at the store.
birds thrive where they don't get fed.
bird feeders in every garden = no birds.

I have a bird feeder that has been raided by a bear, stormed by squirrels, now a source of sunflower seeds for approximately 20 types of birds, next to it is platform for 2 crows, which have brought a flock of turkeys recently. Hawks pick off an occasional squirrel, and owls visit at night to hunt mice, that are after the corn I give to 9 or so deer . Occasionally I will scrape the feeders and spray with peroxide.
