I don't shop there...but it is the largest retailer in the U.S. so it will be hard to hide the shortages as they get worse...

Either they saw this coming, or at least something like it, a year or so ago.

All of the Walmarts in my area have been adjusting their floor plans in such a way as to actually reduce their in-store stock.

They’ve been removing shelving, substantially widening aisles, and creating much more ‘space’ in general. To most, you may never even notice…and the stores appear to be full and stocked. In reality, though, they have much less product in the store

This illusion will hold for awhile and most will never notice until *poof*…it’s all gone.

Yes the S.S. Walmart Titanic will and has been shuffling the deck shelves in anticipation of shortages to come

i had this dream/nightmare once, not larping bs. I went shopping at walmart and where you walked into the store was blocked off by shelves. They just had the very front of the store with stuff nobody actually wanted. I left scared. It was kinda crazy and scary but then I was somewhere else in my town. It was like a European small town with a few bakeries and small grocery store, etc. Once everyone realized they weren't going to starve nobody missed all the plastic bs. One of the few dreams I had that started as nightmare and turned out ok. Sounds kinda lame was unheard of 15 years ago.

Just going out on a limb here. But a complete stealth boycott by China, while it would suck for a while for almost every industry. I think it might be the best chance this country has to get back on its feet. I actually think in the long run this would be a good thing. But we would be in a 10 year depression. I see China nationalizing all foreign investment soon anyway. It's all coming.
