Anonymous Coward User ID: 82332481 United States 04/16/2022 10:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's not legalization by a long shot, it's decriminalization which reduces penalties under a particular amount. Whatever the availability situation is now, it will still be even if it passes. One has to expect that the Federal Government will come in one day and shut down legal states too. This was something that the people wanted, the Federal Government itself agreed to nothing, and still takes full advantage of their position to confiscate proceeds from legal MJ businesses. They don't like anything about the weed, it's not conducive to what they do really. |

When medications are going to be massive shortages, when global reset gets implemented, what better way than to ensure most of the population sits back, gets high, plays video games and chills. Sadly, those that get high regularly are some of the laziest people around. Adults watching cartoons, playing video games. SMDH. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72568263 weed doesnt make you lazy, it makes Lazy people, lazier tho. Look at alcohol, it makes people evil and gives them a superior feeling like they can take on the world. BUT, it also kills 265+ daily in the USA, and 5% of those are via over intoxication/over dose. Shouldnt it be prohibited and scheduled 1 drug? U know, because it has ZERO medicinal value and Kills people DAILY? |

The More Act, ( HR3617 ) imposses a 5% tax, The bill Schumer wants to pass, (Cannabis Administration & Opportunity Act (CAOA) which has an 25% impossed tax rate. Whats fkd is, The IRS can receive, or demand money from sales, from a product that is federally illegal, and then use collected money as they wish. If a USA citizen sells the product, and uses the money for purchases, its considered a felony. Why is there a double standard to it? The IRS is breaking federal Laws. The IRS is a private corporation, and Should be penalized for such activities. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 82400992 United States 04/16/2022 03:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It does nothing but decriminalize it on a federal level. State laws would be in effect still. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79393587 If its federally legal, states have fuck all to do with controlling it, but thru Food and sales law and guildlines. This is correct. States can make their own laws, but they do not overrule federal laws. |

Maybe another ten years. I am kind of afraid of the coming election if Republicans win it will go to war with those states that have legalized it for recreation use. Still too much money for them to squeeze out of their war on drugs |

Use part of the money to repair our crumbling infrastructure... roads, bridges etc. that are in desperate need of repair and we don't have the funds. It will free up tons of resources to combat the drugs we should be fighting - Fentanyl, Heroine, and other drugs that actually kill. |

Besides with legalization, you are typically free to grow a handful of plants for personal consumption.... So it becomes a choice on whether a person does that or spends the money for a regulated product, and then pay some tax on it. |
