I have been there and they are cautious of white people, mainly because they think they are Americans..lol.
When they find out you are not American they are fine.

I am English and I made a great effort to get to know them, and found them great to get along with. Very spiritual.

Around Japs Never Realx!

Japs are massively rood and uncouth just pretending to be nice. They hang on like lemurs and want stuff for free. Blacks in America have better manners than Japs, around who you shoulnd't relax.

My friends and I are all mostly over 30, foreigners from different countries, living in Japan for variable lengths of time. Everyone speaks some Japanese at varying levels and we're all comfortable with living here. Like everyone, we're all busy people and we somehow make it work to see each other once every month/month-and-a-half.

The other night, we head to a bar where we've been a couple of times, after dinner together. We take up the large table can that seat six. Maybe 30m into chatting and drinking together, dude sits at the large table right next to ours and begins to stare intently at us.

Then, at one point, he just starts interrupting the guy he's closest to and says something in Japanese about how lively we all seem, that it's cool we're all speaking English, how do we know each other, where we're from etc. My friend answers as best as he can and then we try to go back to interacting with each other.

Another minute passes before the guy, clearly not wanting to get the hint, starts interrupting again asking my friend to translate, basically, what we are chatting and laughing about. Shortly after, we end up cutting short our time at that particular bar and leaving after one drink but not before the dude kampais us and communicates his desire to follow us to the next bar so we end up making up a story about going home.

This isn't the first time it has happened, and my wife and I are at the point where we want to say something like: "Look man, do you mind? We're just here to hang out with our friends, we aren't bothering anyone. While we all speak some Japanese, this is our night of speaking in our language with our friends. Besides, you would probably never do this to a Japanese person, so please stop."

I'd like to know if there is a polite way to do this because I never know if some of these people are bar regulars or if the situation could turn sour.

Since I started having to travel with a baby in subways, I’ve noticed horrible behaviors of Japanese people. I have experienced being on an elevator and with my baby and a Japanese person would (obviously) fake a cough. This happened a few times.

There was never a time in my many commutes where people (not old, pregnant, etc) actually offered priority seats.

Sometimes I want to confront them but since I have a baby and don’t want to end up getting into a fight, I just がまん.

Any advice on how to deal with rude people on subways?

They won't get up for elderly to offer seats in Japan. Whites do this.

I once got up for this elderly man, and he refused to sit telling me to sit back down. This random guy sat down and between me and the old guy who looked at him in disgust we made him feel awkward enough to get up again, and that seat remained open until I got off.

Not something I was personally involved in, but did witness it. A few years back an older woman came on the train and then went to the priority seats which were as usual filled with people without disabilities. She goes over to this young guy and says her knees hurt and asks if she could have the seat, to which he basically says no. Eventually after some screaming the dude next to the guy she asks gets up and she sits down. As she is on her way out she screams something at the dude who wouldn't stand up and whips her tea bottle at him, narrowly missing him.

Japs also raped and murdered millions just a few decades ago. Time for you go go back to Weeaboland and collect 100 yen.

In August, I had a neighbor move in the empty apartment above me. He stomps LOUD, I mean as if he is purposely slamming boots onto the floor. Every sound he makes is loud, slamming cabinets, doors etc. He frequently wakes me up at 4:30am, even on weekends. A lot of the time he is even up until midnight or 1am During the day he is obviously even more active. Imagine just hearing stomping at any time of the day or night. It’s like russian roulette trying to find a time to nap too. I am always SO tired I feel like I can’t do / enjoy anything. I’ve been going on 2 hour walks because I don’t even want to be home. Leopalace has sent multiple complaint letters to him. My job called Leopalace to call his job. It stopped for a little, but it was around the same time I got SLEEPING PILLS because it was so bad. But then I guess its effect hasn’t been as strong and he wakes me up. I wear my airpods for noise cancelling so much the inside of my ears have cuts and bleed sometimes. and he mostly makes low vibration sounds so I can still hear/feel it. My apartment will shake. This morning I finally called the police. I am so sick and tired. I literally feel sick. I’ve started to take these half awake naps in my English room. My teachers feel bad for me but don’t know what else I can do. My job won’t move me because they want proof and for me to make police reports. I’m trying to get proof, but it’s not like I sleep with my phone in my hand and shoot out of bed and record the moment I wake up. I have to groggily put my arm up to capture the sound and then I’m wide awake. I feel like I am losing my mind. My neighbor is also definitely aware because one day I knocked on my ceiling three times and he STOMPED three times back. I’ve seen him once before, he looks like a young Japanese guy that tries to walk like a gangster, which explains why his footsteps sound the way they do. I live in a factory town and one of my JTEs tried to explain how “factory men are.” I am the only woman in my building. I’m afraid now this is going to get worse since I called the police. I’m on the verge of calling it quits and leaving the country. This guy has slowly ruined my life here, and my location has little to no redeeming qualities. My weekends are wasted on sleeping during the day until he comes home, sometimes I’ll sleep until 6pm. I can’t move out because it’s too much money and my contract ends in March. I just wish they’d kick him out or my job could move me somewhere else. I have lived in some shitty situations but this has by far been the worst.

Edit: I have also been calling out of work. And used up all my off days. I feel so screwed.

Update: I was allowed to come home early and I took pills to sleep. For the past 2 or 3 hours he has been walking around stomping even louder. I think he is angry. I think I made things worse by calling the police. This is mental torture.

Fake Coughing in Japan

I’ve seen this happen a few times. It’s pretty obvious too the way they glare at the foreigner and only start coughing when a foreigner is present . when I see someone do this to another foreigner on the train, I’d reposition myself behind the Japanese guy and fake cough on him (they’re usually men and are older in my experience). They’d glare at me and I keep eye contact as I do it again. Rinse and repeat until they stop harassing my fellow foreigner

The biggest one is the simpler! The Japanese men have upturned mouth and weird expression they try to look like disdain or unapproving and sometimes stare. If this happen you need to star at them until they break eye contact. Stare in Japan is big rude and if Japanese man do this to you you need to speak up about it because they are doing wrong. They do they things with moutn to appear to be un approving and appear like they are the superior. Dont let it happen. Inside many Japanese man are spiteful mutancey and are very seething. If they see a white they will often make big loud voices or big laughs when walking past. This is their rude behavior. They are angry that they can't steal all your technology. like in old days, only some of it, and angry because they are being big cucks now. I suggest you visit and see for yourself but then after 1 day leave and spend your money elsewhere as our friends say "don't relax around the Japs"
