I agree. The writing and acting are flawless and very natural.

The best example of that is "His Girl Friday" with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell.

I can watch anything with Doris Day in it. I find her very sexy with a girl next door look. Of course it's all BS. The Thin Man series are very good. The Big clock 1948 with Ray Milland, Charles Laughton and Maureen O'Sullivan. I watch it just to watch Laughton fall down the elevator shaft. Laughton is so repulsive you can't take your eyes off of him

Well, I found this movie surprisingly funny the other night on Turner Classic Movies:

Lover Come Back (1961) with Rock Hudson and Doris Day. Rock Hudson playing that Dr with all the manipulations was very funny. And the explosions from the lab that kept nailing the business partner made me laugh. Good classic comedy.

For a fun ride that'll make you laugh and take your mind off all the BS....

I only watch the old movies. For one, I hate the pulsing sound, real quiet, and then booming loud shake the walls stuff they do today. Also, the 'agenda' crap, no thanks on that too. Watched Song of Bernadette today, had it in the cue, never watched it before, thanks for the tip!
