I am a buyer at 7%
1. “You can’t fire a cannon, from a canoe!”
2. “Strength is gained in the range it is trained.”
3. “If it doesn’t swim, run, or fly, or isn’t green and grow in the ground, don’t eat it.”
4. “Know that you have complete control over what you put in your mouth. No one ever ate anything by accident.”

The current rate of close to 5% is going to exclude a lot of potential buyers.

Re: Keep an Eye on Home Mortgage Rates
Rate still low at 5%. If rate goes much higher prices will come down as buyers buy on payments.
Won’t effect high end markets yet as they are mainly cash. Florida out of control still in the higher end market. They are paying cash. If the sellers up north can’t get rid of their homes that market may slow down some.
In Chicago suburbs still a shortage of houses. Very low inventory driving up prices. This has not slowed down.
News today said higher rates causing less new mortgages. Reality is low inventory is currently causing it in most areas.
