How is it possible to respect God but don't know about God's unconditional love.

There is not one single statement in all 66 books of the bible that says God's love is unconditional.

In fact, God states exactly the opposite.

Sin is not allowed before God, period.

And we all have broken God's laws, the Ten Commandments. We are moral criminals in His eyes, and we are not getting into heaven...

Except for the fact that God came to earth, and took on all of our sin, past, present, and future. He paid our fine in court, so that we can go free.

This is why Jesus said that no one can get to the Father except through Him.

God has 2 strict conditions for His love;

Repent from sin, which means to continually turn away from it, not just apologize.

And put your full faith in Jesus' sacrifice.

God wants everyone to be saved, that no man should perish, but you have to reciprocate His love by doing the two things mentioned above.
