Re: My homeschool curriculum
My kids are too smart to waste time at the desks 8 hours a day.

Unless you were at the library of Alexandria you didn’t get much from it. Libraries are watered down and only 1% is useful. Once the pages are ripped on the useful books they go out of print or are never replaced.

I’m not having unit studies on tigers or worshipping kids on YouTube. This is all waste of energy.

I get ya no library no youtubes. Libararies dont teach anything and youtube allows kids to worship other kids. Valid points.

So its already sounding like the "commune" thread that other dude is running.

So you do want the kids to be sort of free range? In terms of magic, uh would you have them play d and d? Know the different types of trees and what wands they make?

How about welding would you teach them that?? Or using sockets to turn nuts and wrenches to turn bolts?

Welding yes that’s part of the highschool curriculum. How to make the blue jeans.

I’d love if they know how to work the gidgets and gadgets.

Re: My homeschool curriculum
Teach them to clean and organize. Also to do laundry and cook. Get them routinized early. When they start their first job make them save money. Don’t let them blow it all. Take them shopping so they understand how to compare prices. How much something is per ounce and pound. They need to know how to take care of themselves along with basic reading, writing and math. Look to see what they really excel in. Help to foster it.

Re: My homeschool curriculum
Well permaculture sure but also I would recommend mycellium. The Paul Stamets ted talk was the only one I liked.

This is where you're at OP, if you are serious, orphanages will not be few and far between.

Well kindergarten but this is long term thinking.
We will do Singapore math.

Vedic Math as well. I taught mine vedic math. It really helped them solve math equations in a much faster way.

Is this all I need?
 Quoting: SafeandSound
