Because you were once a fetus. We all were. You grew into the person you are today. If I kill you today just because I feel like it, it’s murder and I go to prison for a long, long time. So what is the logical difference between killing you in the fetus stage, or full grown stage?

Moreover, we protect little children. Almost all human beings do so because we know little children are weak, fragile and not fully developed enough to know what can hurt or kill them. They need protection and guidance. How much more vulnerable is an embryo or a fetus? Yet, as a society, we don’t care about who kills them, do we? Where is the logic in that?

Lastly, TONS of people want to adopt and raise a child because they cannot (or choose not) to procreate. We make it so very, very difficult to adopt in this country that many leave to 3rd world countries to adopt. The law of adoption actually MAKES it easier to adopt from outside the country rather than at home. I know, because I know many friends who wanted to adopt and raise a child but you cannot be single (unless you are wealthy) and you have to have an upper middle class income as a married couple and jump through a million hoops to get final adoption approval.

Abortion is murder. Take the damn pill and have the dude wear a condom ffs.

A dear friend - devout Christian - was faced with an ultrasound that showed the baby with major encephalitis at the 14th week. She was devastated. She and her partner had tried for years to have this child.

The doctors said that the baby probably wouldn't make it past 20 weeks gestation, if that. The ultrasound was gruesome. I wish I hadn't seen it. Abortion is illegal where we live, even in the case of woman's health or incest.

She had to travel to the US for a late term abortion. She was greeted with hard core pro-life activists who called her a murderer. While she was sitting in the waiting room, just after filling out the paperwork, she started to miscarry.

It really sucked that she had to travel so far and a significant expense, but she couldn't wait another month or two for nature to take its course.

She left the clinic and was hounded by three men who chased after her, telling her she would rot in hell for what she did.

For the same reason we're against rape, because the other person doesn't get to approve it. The other person in this case is a baby.

If I knew I was gonna have some totally shitty parents and upbringing, I'd probably volunteer. I don't hold any thing against suicides.

What would be the best for society? Kind of a coinflip really. But if there is a creator, no one will escape judgment. If we are all alone, we make our own rules. And killing is killing.

Full acceptance of abortion is a first step toward culling the herd further. Within 10-15 years the State will be deciding whose life is worth living and who can be euthanized, especially when insurance companies pressure (purchase) politicians to get rid of "expensive" people.
