Going to trade this weekend at a show. Have 3 TEP .5 gram gold bars, a slabbed 1881s Morgan and a roll of Rosie dimes I am going to try to trade for as many Mercs as I can get.

Who the hell buys their PM's to sell to a dealer? He's doing it wrong.

PM's have always had a huge Buy/Sell spread for as long as I have looked at them, at least if dealing with a reputable dealer. One reason I have never invested in them.

Just a business, like diamonds are just a business, with HUGE markups (diamond markups are MUCH worse fwiw).

People have made much more money in almost any collectable that is not a short term fad collectable than they have by investing in gold /silver /diamonds. Cars /baseball cards /comic books /art /etc. have ALL been a much better place to store your money than gold /silver /diamonds.

Banco Azteca in Mexico used to buy above spot. But now you need a mexican id to sell to them.

Actually, they still pay above spot, but not with a US passport. Needs to be a mexican id.

This is why Banks need to exchange gold and silver.

They have vaults and security.
