What IS of value to me is to see the LORD in action. So many times, He has come to the rescue and answered prayer and dealt with spirits which seek to interject themselves into our lives and divert us away from our calling.

When it comes to our OWN problems, however, we tend to believe that we can handle it on our own with all the knowledge and experience that we have in life. It is not until we GIVE IT UP and trying to handle it on our own, that God has the OPPORTUNITY to show us that "HE has this."

Over the last several months, my youngest daughter (along with husband and two boys), became homeless and had to move into our small apartment. Along with it came drug and alcohol addiction--and all the drama it brings with it. If there is anything I am considered an expert at, it is addictions and other "health" problems when working with juveniles. However, when it comes to your own, "professional" methods don't work in the least. The last several months have just been "crisis management". Of course, I understood fully that I wasn't just dealing with "physical" situations. I now had to deal with "spirits and powers and wickedness in high places." I could not only deal with this by myself, I had to give it up entirely...TO HIM. I did, and moved on.

Yesterday, out of the blue and after YEARS of this abuse, my daughter moved in with my oldest daughter and has gone COLD TURKEY--and it is not like she does not know what is ahead of her. She has been through it before.

I am now much more free to address the real issues of life (as if drug and alcohol addiction are not real issues). I cannot allow myself to be sidetracked anymore. It's back to "building".
