Common sense, alone, should testify to us of the hatred of Satan for the Creator; and the many tools he brings to the table to convince us that his hatred is justified. He was able to bring a third of holy, sinless angels into into rebellion against their Creator over what appeared to be unjust and despotic rule. The worst possible light was put on His laws which governed the Universe and all of Heaven, itself. He determined from the beginning to change the laws of God, and to teach all of Creation that HE (Lucifer) was a much more benevolent being than the Creator and that he would allow much more freedom under his rule than the rigid and unchanging Godhead.

His plan was brilliant. Although he was not immortal (God ONLY hath immortality), he knew he would be long-lived, even without access to the fruits of the Tree of Life which allowed perpetual life. His plan was to span millenia and he RELIED on the FACT that God was long-suffering, merciful, and unconditional in His love for His Creation. He actually believed that he could subvert God's plan, and he still does.

Satan knew from the beginning the importance of what the Creator intended with the Holy Rest of the Seventh Day, woven within the Creation event, itself--the ONLY source from which the seven-day week exists. There is nothing else in NATURE which reflects the seven-day week which we have observed since civilization began. It began in antiquity and has been followed since, despite attempts to change it over time. Seven was THEN and is NOW the very epitome of perfection while TEN was the symbol of COMPLETION. Satan knew he couldn't change this, but he COULD confuse the actual day of rest. Over a course of thousands of years, he succeeded, and the result, as they say, is history. Much of the world now worships and RESTS on Firstday (sunday) and on Sixthday (Friday) and is out of tune with Creation, itself. The crowning act of Satan will come to its complete fruition when the current events bring us to international LAWS that are mere months away from being enacted in the name of conformity, nature, family, and placation of an angry God who's wrath is about to fall upon us.

It is thus how the two great lies have been so completely ingrained in our world--the immortality of the soul and the change of Sabbath from seventh-day to first-day. The immortality of the soul assures us of eternal life though God tells us that the "soul that sins shall die", and the fallacy of first-day worship which does not include the very presence and the God-awful rest of our Father which He gave us as a PERPETUAL reminder of HIM and the Creation Event.

From this brilliant plan, Satan was now able to paint a portrait of a God that would PURPOSELY torture finite creatures for as long as God exists--for eternity--and giving vile, sinful men the opportunity to live forever in their sin; ruled over and guided by Satan and his evil angels as a REWARD for putting one over on the Ancient of Days. In the final analysis, Satan's view of success would be to defeat God by His own Laws and destroy Him by those same Laws.

Of course, Jehovah knew all this from the beginning--even before He created Satan. He held nothing back from him. He was the highest CREATED being in Heaven, created with "pipes" that could HARMONIZE with the entire angelic choir, beautiful beyond measure with an intellect unmatched. Even with all of this, the "counsel" between Father and Son left no stone unturned to bring him back from the precipice. He has long since grieved the Spirit of the Holy Pair and his fate is sealed. Hell was created just for Satan and His angels and they will suffer long according to the depth of their sin, but eventually they will be burned up "root and branch" and the Heavens will return to a Universe with no discordant notes, no blight, NOTHING AT ALL to remind us of that awful period in time (except by OUR testimony). It is US who will prevent it from ever happening again through the ceaseless ages to come.
