At the center of Adventist theology (aside from the Sanctuary Services of the Old Testament) is the messages contained within the Three Angels of Revelation 14 and the angels that follow these three.

Another very important part of Adventist theology is what is called Righteousness by Faith. After all is said and done, the message of Righteousness by Faith has been called: "The three angels message, IN VERITY. In today's Adventist world, though they can talk endlessly about these prophetic messages, very few even have a cursory understanding of it in their lives. If it did, we would be in the middle of last-day events and proclaiming these truths all over the world IN POWER. Sadly, they are in CRISIS because all the events foretold for which they have been diligently seeking--are happening all around them and they are NOT fulfilling the prophecies which they are so fond of telling everybody about. The bottom line is that they are WAITING for Latter-rain POWER. Many wrongly believe that when Jesus comes in the clouds of Glory, the SIN in their lives which so easily besets them, would be REMOVED and THEN they could go out and proclaim the final messages with power. THAT is not happening in any shape, form, or manner. In fact, the entire church appears to be in deep apostasy--the same apostasy which is prevalent throughout the world. As much as they hate the term, Laodicea, they have BECOME it to their own horror--"rich and increased with goods and in need of nothing, and knoweth not that they are wretched, poor, blind and naked."

When I first came to the Adventist church, I had no idea as to what they were talking about. I didn't even have ANY connection with ANY churches, nor did I plan to. I was there to give warnings about the children and the prophecies within their own writings as to the events which would unfold in the last days--concerning THEM mostly, but also the world. I was invited by one man to join him and his family for a Sabbath meal. As we talked, he said something that I did not understand for quite some time, nor did I see his reasoning. The term was the LAST thing that I ever thought of myself. What he said was: "We as a church have been struggling to understand and teach Righteousness by Faith--to our OWN SELVES, let alone to the world. He was SHOCKED that I walked into his life-long church and EXHIBITED a righteousness by my faith of what God was doing for me in my own life. The fact of the matter was that my "faith" had been swallowed up in VICTORY with the ministry of the Son to the Father in the church that very day. I was FULL of doubt and fear when I walked into that church. All doubt and fear fled from me that day. From that day forward, I BOLDLY proclaimed the truths of God to a church that had separated itself from the world for so long, that it had forgotten how to communicate with it. The ones who were prophesied to boldly go forward to teach the world to "Come out of her my people", feared being "dirtied" by the world. In the coming months and years, I came to understand what it really meant.

Righteousness by faith was NEVER designed around US reaching a "HOLY" place in our daily lives. It ACTUALLY had to do with the FACT that we were SINNERS--moment by moment--and there was NOTHING we could do to change that fact. It had EVERYTHING to do with a "faith procedure" that we had to learn to rely upon WHEN MINISTERING TO OTHERS. In other words, though my sin was "ever before me", I had to learn by experience not to worry about what to say or do to ALLOW God to do HIS thing. He never failed me ONCE and CONTINUALLY blew my mind as to what could be accomplished by simply believing that HE would do the work and all I had to do was be WILLING. Simple as that. This is righteousness by faith in a nutshell. The results were so amazing that thousands were touched by the Spirit in ways unimaginable. Even though it was happening to me every day, it boggled and amazed me every time.

I could tell you story after story of amazing conversions. It didn't matter what I was faced with. It was accomplished among lesbians and gays, among the most violent of criminals, among the most fringe of churches and the most fringe elements of life. I cannot look back at it and see where "I" had anything to do with it except to be willing to knock on a door, approach a stranger on the street, or strike up a conversation in a supermarket. HE always put someone in front of me. He still does.
