Now, the once commonly used terms when describing God are: He is Omnipotent (all powerful), Omniscient (all knowing) and by many He is Eternal. Of course, the term which was USUALLY applied for this third attribute is that He is Omnipresent (present in all places and in all times). The terms Eternal and Omnipresent have meanings which are world's apart.

Being "Eternal" is a word that has been used to help us wrap our minds around something that is difficult to conceive--eternity. We can SOMEWHAT understand all knowing, and all powerful--but Omnipresence boggles the imagination. Only in recent discussions about the attributes of Black Holes (unheard of back in the day) has there been the possibility of being stretched to infinity (the spaghetti effect) and simultaneously being crunched to an infinite point. Even with all the Math involved, it is still difficult to perceive this with any degree of precision. Even this concept has been challenged recently with the discovery of an "object" emerging from a massive black hole (which we just happened to be "watching" at the time.) It is NOT coincidence that we are now training radio telescopes all over the world towards our own black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy.

The MAJOR difference between these two terms is one is looked at from a HUMAN point of view. To see God as Eternal means that He is COGNIZANT of both extremes and KNOWS the end from the beginning. To be Omnipresent means that He is THERE at both ends--and everywhere in between. God is not constrained by time. He created it. So, one of the natural conclusions we can make on this is that God does not have to WAIT upon anything--the MOMENT of Creation is no different to HIM than the ever-present moments of Him enjoying HIS Heavenly Kingdom, NOW. WE are in the long wait for the "number" to be made up of His Saints. God waits for nothing.

Now that we can make SOME conclusions based on this, we can make further deductions as to the "properties" of the Kingdom of God. Some very important "mysteries" can be solved such as when was Jesus BEGOTTEN. The Scriptures tell us that He was begotten from the foundation of the world. They also tell us that He was begotten of Mary. Was He begotten twice? Is one metaphor or analogy and the other literal? Can we resolve this paradox? It is EASILY resolved if we consider that this was all the same moment with God. As a matter of fact, every other major event in the life of Christ can be seen in the same light. There were SEVEN major events in the life of Christ. These are the Seven Thunders mentioned in Scripture. Each one of these "events" were proclamations of God (which is what Strong's Concordance calls as divine proclamations)--each one proclaiming that Jesus was (and IS) the Son of God. These seven "thunders" were the Incarnation, the Birth, the Baptism, the Transfiguration, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection and the Ascension. These seven events were woven into the very fabric of the Creation. It is not difficult (and is often said) to perceive the life of Christ at the very center of Creation as a METAPHOR. This makes it a LITERAL EVENT.

In recent times, it is becoming APPARENT by many scientists that it took INTELLIGENCE and DIVINITY to create such a life-favoring universe as the one we live in. The more they discover, the more they unknowingly uphold the Scripture definition of Creation. Cern has been hard at it to actually interact with what they perceive as 11 dimensions of space/time/matter. This is TOTALLY in line with Scripture. First there was SINGULARITY with the totally unknowable Jehovah. With the begetting of the Son, there became DUALITY--and in the same moment came the 3x3 matrix of which many are familiar. These correspond with the 9 "fruits" of the Spirit which are not only SPIRITUAL ATTRIBUTES, they also have varying PHYSICAL attributes--manifesting the communication, or WORK that science so aply uses to describe the interaction between things.

A scientist once said (Murray Gell-Mann I believe) that they do not perceive GOD (a metaphor in his mind) as twiddling twenty knobs and vials to maintain this universe. They perceive it as MUCH simpler and "beautiful". Beauty in their eyes, of course, is in scientific simplicity. They are forever seeking to make everything SIMPLE to its lowest common denominator. Of course, they cannot even conceive of the idea that it is LITERALLY the ministry of the Son to the Father which holds everything together (and even defines gravity)

Now that I've opened THAT box, it really prepares the way to defining everything else about the Kingdom of God. "Eye has not seen, nor ears heard of the things prepared from the foundation of the world." In the pages that follow, I will try to delineate the consequences and meanings of what we have just scratched the surface of.
