My wife and I walked into the little picturesque church set in a small community in Maine. It was odd to say the least. Firstly, it was SATURDAY. I had never been in a church on a Saturday and it just seemed strange. It looked no different than any other church, had song service, Bible readings, etc.

As paranoid as I was, I was watching the line of people sitting on the podium with a skeptical eye. I studied each person and my eyes fell on a strangely hard-looking man who seemed Slavic in his nationality. As it turned out, he was German and even was a part of the Hitler youth as a child.

After all the normal events leading up to the sermon, this man got up to give the sermon. There was nothing remarkable about his sermon or his demeanor. He was reading from his notes when he suddenly stopped mid-sentence and turned away from his notes. In that moment, his eyes (which were a dark brown), turned a brilliant blue as if an angel stepped into him. At the same moment, a BALL OF FIRE appeared right in front of the podium and WAVE AFTER WAVE of a Holiness passed through my wife and I and we were filled beyond measure with powerful waves of Holy Spirit that quickened our understanding and opened our spiritual eyes. What I could NOT see, was that my wife was holding on to the pew as though her life depended upon it. What SHE saw was the roof disappear and a cloud appear in its place. In the cloud was a MOUTH speaking pure light towards the speaker on the podium, and pure light would than come to us in wave after wonderful wave.

Although I cannot bring to mind MANY of the things that this man spoke, he spoke with such power and HAPPINESS that it was just unimaginable. What he was HAPPY about (the angel in him-not the man) was that WE were there. He then told the congregation that SOMEONE WAS COMING that was not of their fold and that they had the most amazing message that man has ever heard. We were filled with such joy that it cannot be expressed. What was most amazing to me was that this was a TOTAL CONFIRMATION to me that I was on the right path and doing the right things. Later, I was to come to an understanding that the angel in this man was really Jesus, Himself--and that He was pleading His blood FOR ME. For the first time in my life (especially since conversion),I realized that I was FORGIVEN and ACCEPTED OF GOD. Never again will I ever doubt that. The Father/Creator of Heaven and Earth, His Holy Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit all graced us that day--and every day since. My wife had ALWAYS had gifts that I could not understand. She actually prophesied of our future several times and they all came true. I did not have this gift until after this experience (along with some others). That very day, I signed up to be trained in the "Literature Ministry", and eventual became a "Credentialed Literature Evangelist". When we got home and were relating these experiences, inexplicable things began to happen every day. We were both having visions and I can't even relate to you how THAT affected our lives.

Here we are 40 years later. He has shown us many things and some of them are hard to understand. Almost NO ONE that I have ever met down the years, can understand or even WANT to understand. I have been LITERALLY wandering in the wilderness of Adventism for these last 40 years.
