It's worth roughly $20 so if you leave a silver dollar as a tip, it would force people to start using them as money.

Well you are spending the $20 either way, this way it pushes up the value of your stack and helps people learn about honest money again.

Soon a can of Spam will be a generous tip as food shortages incoming to welcome us to the great famine.

First horse the white horse with the bow aka vax.

Second horse is war horse.

Third horse is famine.

Fourth horse is death.

the 4 horses are riding and the vaxxed will be dropping dead soon just ask the 50 year old foo fighter drummer how that vaxxed worked out for him, oh wait he is dead.

like the concept but its better to hodl for now than to share a $600+ coin. granted I think gold will rise as china and russia are buying it up.

6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Don't panic yet my friend. Even if the dollar fails we will survive, but lets make it less painful by doing our part and getting real money back in the system.

Using silver as money instead of printed paper would be a big step in removing our corrupt government's power.

True again. I tell my co-workers to buy some silver NOW while it's cheap, but they don't. But most people today don't even know the value of silver or what to do with it if you gave it to them. Like Mike Dice proved on the street most will take a candy bar over an oz. of silver.

20 on an 80 meal is 25 percent.
Heck no.

The server would think you're a cheap asshole and be more insulted than if you left no tip. They'd bitch about it the rest of the shift and at the end of the night they'd trade it for a dollar bill because it's easier than carrying a bunch of change.

That generous tip pissed off the server and you threw away $19, better off leaving a $20 ánd keeping the silver dollar yourself.
If I had a dollar for every time I got suspicious...

I'd wonder who was paying me, and why?

Ummm, show me a 1oz silver coin for 20. All I see is high 30s to over 40 depending on who minted it.

I also like this idea, but maybe smaller denominations or even maybe some constitutional silver.

Buy a bag of it and then roll it up.

Lets go back bro. You can drop my ass off any year before 9/11. Preferably in the late 60s to early 70s so I can be on my way out by the time 9/11 and all the fuckery that follows happens.

I'm 37 now. Ill be 80 or so by 2001 and dead by Obama. I'm good with that. Come'on over. Let's do this

Idiot, you can't buy a silver dollar for $20.
And,you would be damn foolish to give them away like that.

This is one of the worst ideas that I have seen on GLP.

Nobody would use that as money, it would go to the restaurant and they would give regular cash as part of the tool pool that day. If you leave a tip, it does not just go to the server who served you, fyi.

The restaurant would just exchange the silver coin for something more practical.

Yeah I don't know what I was thinking, I hadn't checked the premium on physical, DANG!

I wish there was a smaller but well known unit.

Quarters are already worthless because they took out all the silver many years ago.

They need a 25% silver dollar, or a new "dime" coin whose reputation isn't ruined.

Yeah good point, my goal is to try to get people using silver as currency again.

When the SHTF with the dollar, people will stare blankly at you if you offer one in exchange for a tank of gas or whatever.

So we need to retrain the population to see and feel comfortable with spending silver coins.

BTW I don't like the socialism of the tip pool. The servers should tip the bus/kitchen whatever.

That punishes the good performers and rewards the slackers.

Trade PM's with folks who know what it is. I've paid in gold/silver with several merchants. Gun store, the shoe shine guy, the guy selling Trump flags etc. Folks who know what it is will be glad to accept in trade. Wait staff generally won't have a clue what to do with it and will just think you're weird /scammer etc.

The kitchen staff does get tips too, I have found out by joining a kitchen staff recently.

Anyway yea.. Gold, alright, there's some technical uses for gold, its a great conductor for example, so its got some value, but silver is junk, and it's only got value as long as people believe its got value. After a SHTF and you came at me wanting to trade silver for stuff, I'd be like, screw that, trade me that coat and those hunting snares, or the boots, not that useless shiny pretty stuff.
