Who do you think will control those charging station ? Did you know weight for weight, gas is 80 time more energy effective than the best car battery ? It's a SCHEME. They want to control your movement, prevent you from going too far from your home. An electric car with limited range along with the control of charging stations is the perfect solution for the globalists. Control. Nothing but control. Gas cars allow you to go anywhere and everywhere without anyone permission. Electric cars limit you in every ways. Enjoy your prison. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78551315 United States 03/21/2022 11:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78551315 Because they're rich enough to buy a $80,000 EV, but entitled enough to feel like YOU (the taxpayer) should pay for their electricity. Is it cheaper to charge at a charging station than it is at home? It's free to the driver. The electricity is paid for either by: 1. The government 2. The business establishment that owns the charger [link to electrek.co (secure)] Looks like you Pay and pay alot. Killer cost if done at home too. Yes, it does cost a decent amount. My point is that you and I (the taxpayers) are also paying (subsidizing) for them EV tards to charge their cars. There's lots of free (taxpayer funded, so not really free) charging stations around the country. There are 540 "free" charging stations in Los Angeles alone. [link to www.plugshare.com (secure)] And lots of additional "free" ones along California's highways [link to patch.com (secure)] The only way this bullshit stops is for people to stand up to their state representatives and tell them they refuse to pay for other people's electricity (via taxes). I used California as an example, but if you do an internet search for your state with the phrase "free EV charging stations in xxxx state", you'll see they're in a lot of states, all being paid for with YOUR taxes. |

Only has about 30 miles of range before she goes into gas but if she drives local then she never goes into gas. She only fills up like twice a year. No liberal here. I saw the writing and acted before these costs came. I'm not stupid enough to think that the coming food inflation wont get to my family but Im smart enough to see it and prepare. Massive inflation is coming and it will make this stuff look like a walk in the park. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78551315 That fee is expected to go up ~20% per year as more EV's get sold. If energy production costs keep rising, I'd expect that additional fee to be $500 - $1000 per year within 2-3 years. Remember, nothing in life is "free". You (or someone else) pays for it one way or another. I don’t know about the registration fees. I do know they get tax breaks. So they aren’t paying the full price. And I do know being beholden to the monopoly power companies won’t be better. |

You try that with a tesla of equal vintage and see what your driving range when its 0 F degrees out. Electric cars cannot replace IC engined vehicles. theres not the resources to built the components for the general public. You will lose every bit of your freedom with the EV vehicles. They are completely unsustainable. Intentionally. |

You are stuck for who knows how long with an electric car. This happens on roads during the winter when people get stuck for hours or even a day. No thanks. I’ll take gas powered any day. |
