Nobody gives a fuck about Tesla drivers or what they think.

Why can't they go home and charge them?

Most states also charge an additional $100 - $250 per year onto the EV's car registration for those "free" chargers.

That fee is expected to go up ~20% per year as more EV's get sold.

If energy production costs keep rising, I'd expect that additional fee to be $500 - $1000 per year within 2-3 years.

Remember, nothing in life is "free".

If you're at a station, you usually charge and that's it, as opposed to home charging is paid for all at once via home power usage.

The electricity is paid for either by:

1. The government

2. The business establishment that owns the charger

At some point electricity is going to go way up and government is going to start taxing electricity the way they tax gas right now.

But yes, at this moment green agenda is essentially sponsoring all kind of EV infrastructure. Not for long, in a couple of yers it is going to change.

Tesla used to offer the free charging only for the model S and X, but stopped in May 2020. Free charging was never offered for the Model 3 or Y.
