Does anyone else feel like it's increasingly difficult or even pointless to plan for the future anymore?
Hey GLP, so I'll be 30 next month. In a lot of ways I'm sure my priorities are not much different than most people my age (excluding entitled leftist millennial scum of course, a group which seems to be growing larger by the day...) Anyway, priorities like purchasing a home, building a business, and potentially starting a family.

A few years ago, before the Covid hoax, the sham election, and just the overall bleakness of the economy as a whole, all of my aspirations and dreams seemed well within grasp, granted it would take hard work and dedication. I'm no stranger to hard work and I usually get whatever I set my sights on. But now, after witnessing the events of the last few years, and realizing that it's only getting exponentially worse, I can't help but feel like any attempt to really buckle down and push forward with my goals will ultimately blow up in my face and end up being a complete waste of time and resources.

For example, should I really continue to work for say, another 5-10 years, build my savings, invest in a future business, put a down payment on a house, etc, when at the same time: the US dollar is heading straight off a cliff, food and resource shortages become increasingly more mainstream amid global conflicts, large numbers of the population start dying off and/or develop debilitating vaccine related injuries, energy costs soar, which not only affects transportation but literally everything, threats of world wars, and on and on.

Or, given these realities, should I just bite the bullet, throw my dreams and aspirations out the window and use my current source of income and whatever savings I have left to prepare for hard times ahead? I'm not a pessimist, I just acknowledge that time is precious, and I prefer not to waste it.

Amid everything that's happened, everything that's happening now, and everything the Klaus Schwab's of the world are spearheading to happen in the future. I mean, keeping Agenda 2030 in mind, realize that's less than a decade away. And look at what they've already accomplished in the last two years with the scamdemic. And as soon as that dwindled down, BAM, the Russia/Ukraine debacle and everything that means for the rest of the world. At this point, I'm starting to think "Operation Warpspeed" had less to do with the creation of the "vaccine" in record time and way more to do with the speed at which the world is heading straight for the fucking end of the world as we know it.

Anyway, am I exaggerating or being unreasonable? Or too negative and paranoid? It's just so discouraging, trying to push forward with an idea that almost seems like a joke at this point. "You'll own nothing and be happy"?! Why the fuck should I pursue anything if that's the case...

Anyone else in a similar boat?

I've been saying that for years.

Maybe I was more targeted than most of you, but it was the trend for everybody.

It is why I have taken the war to marriage.

Only marriage really forces people to confront the future in the present.

I did in 2020. Now, I'm seriously considering moving to Russia IF President Putin is still prez. I adore him! All Trump had to do was:

Create Executive Orders to:

Stop the dumb libs from mocking him
Cancel Fake News
Create his own network of REAL NEWS (like 20 channels)
mandatory to have with all TV packages
PARDON ALL the Jan 6 patriots
Pardon himself

etc...

HE alone had the power to change USA's "world" order. But nope. Super disappointed, instead he pardoned rapers & criminals.

Putin OUT-TRUMPS Trump. So I am learning Russian as fast as I can. I have enough words to be able to be understood. Now I need more words so I can understand others.

In Russia, I could have land and a house and raise my own food and make clothes and have President Putin over to dinner!!

Putting the majority of your money into savings is a waste. You're losing money due to inflation.

Some good index funds and safe things like that are what you should be doing with your money.

Yeah, I know it all comes down to my choice in the end. It's just that I feel these kinds of choices would have been a lot easier to make 10-20 years ago. I guess I was just curious if it was a shared sentiment. But location wise? Well I'm in a big city, north florida. But my family has some property in central FL, more rural and off grid. I'm thinking more and more that I should just move down there with everything going on, but there's no jobs there, then again, what good is a job once shit hits the fan. And I'm back at square one all over again. Decisions decisions...

I don't even desire to have a family now that I started learning about gnosticism and the demiurge. Having a family no longer seems too important.

Well, where I want to "go" doesn't seem practical or viable anymore, at least as long as everything that's happening keeps happening at the current rate. I can't rationalize putting forth the necessary time and resources trying to get where I want to go if where I want to be ends up being for nothing.

This is when you decide to live on principles, not emotions.

I promise, the above paragraph is a door to unimaginable success and prosperity. The road will have bumps and potholes, but stay on it. You'll look back in several miles and rejoice.

learn to cook

never buy processed food

never waste money on 'luxuries'

stop drinking booze/cigs [heavily taxed]

get a cheap to run small car

work for yourself and fam, not for the man, who WILL steal from you.

holiday near home, or with friends at home

be prepared to leave for real opportunities out of state or country.

ten years ago, here in greece, we got a 40% wage cut and high prices, a 50 year national debt and new property taxes.
its shit, but if you're prepared to be poor you'll survive.

you can't really plan for the future here, though. my kids [and another 5% of the population] left the country and are re-experiencing the crisis in the new countries they moved to...

All that water, rain and warm weather is terrible for survivability.

Find some place that is frigid, dry and with terrible soil.

Perhaps I am being too pessimistic after all. I just wish I could believe that everything that's been going on has not been by design and is not ultimately coordinated to turn the whole world into one giant communist shithole, where everyone will own nothing and be happy. Because if that really is the ultimate destination, then there is no point in trying to build security in the future. Might as well live in the moment after all, and I guess try to embrace what little time and freedom we have left.

One thing I have learned that GOD does in my life, GOD rarely does stuff suddenly. GOD actually prefers to do things gradually. Like the seasons changing, or the Isaraelites in the desert, giving them only enough for the day and night.

Same here, except I’m not “very well off”, just comfortable. Indeed, it was all for nothing. I see no happy future for myself and loved ones (no kids, thank God).

OP, while it’s important to have a financial cushion put aside for the unforeseen, don’t make a fetish out of making money! “Time is money”, but they don’t tell you that you can always make more money, but you cannot make more time.

Your 30’s, which you are just entering into, are truly a man’s “golden years”... you’re still young enough to be healthy, but old enough to have most things figured out by now. Use them to enrich yourself in the ways that matter, to you, while emphasizing honor, trust and responsibility in all you do, even if the world looks at these as foolish values. Create friendships, but don’t value them too highly nor place too much trust in them; sadly, most of a man’s “friends” turn out to be fair-weather friends of convenience. Take time to become proficient in whatever manly skills you can - begin with a good basic library of how-to books. Learn to use a chainsaw properly, as well as an axe; get a good kit of hand tools and learn to use them; teach yourself skills such as basic carpentry and welding; learn to garden for sustenance (concentrate on potatoes, wheat and corn); purchase and become passably proficient with a good large-caliber handgun like a S&W revolver or Colt auto (avoid Glocks at all cost); if you can’t already, learn to read printed maps.

Best of fortune on your journey, young man.
