Just heard on teevee news a clip saying the UK government has warned anyone going to fight will be in violation of UK law. The only reason I can think they'd say that is because they want to control who goes. If some altruistic and naive young soldier - who is not a Nazi - goes and signs up with, say, Azov, they're going to be witness to what's really going on over there, like Azov murdering people trying to leave through humanitarian corridors. They don't want that shit getting out.

Covering up that it was MI6.

People think spies are men in suits with pistols at dinner parties. In reality, the CIA and MI6 have their own mini-militaries. They have a pretty substantial number of guys in Ukraine for sure or Ukraine wouldn't have done so well at the start of the war. It's what they did all through the Cold War; UK/US military people fighting in foreign uniforms under the command of the CIA/MI6. Lots of them were pilots flying the jets for the foreign country we supported.

What this means is that some of them have been caught. Since they have been caught, Russia can legally kill them as spies.

Except this is the UK trying to provide legal cover to say they weren't spies and were just foreign adventurers, partisans, who joined the Ukrainian military on their own accord. Russia won't be fooled, but they will be mostly professional about it.
