Who remembers Mike Rupert of Crossing the Rubicon?

I remember Mike:( and his dog "Rags") he was part of the founding cadre' of the "peak oil crisis" movement in the mid 2000s :( Richard Heinberg, James Howard Kunstler, Mike Rupert) and a few more I can't remember. Committed Suicide If I remember correctly.

Although he was also involved in ferreting out the CIA moving drugs into the inner cities.

His last name was spelled Ruppert, and like the rest of his colleagues in the peak-oil cottage industry, he failed to take into account that the machinations of the elites hid the fact that there is much, much more oil at reasonable depth than is referenced in geophysical journals and oil company statements. Oil is the second most common liquid in earth, behind water.

For example, there is a field of light, sweet crude in Malaysia that is the equivalent of three virgin Saudi Arabias, and another in Siberia that is four times that size; both were discovered in the late 1990s and were never even catalogued, much less put into production. Ruppert never understood that oil, being literally the lifeblood of industrial civilization, was being treated as a worldwide global security subject, and thus a great deal of obfuscation and dissembling were fashioned to hide the truth.

The elite want us to believe in the scarcity of everything, now more than ever; this is so that, once they whittle the population down to a half-billion or so people, they will have little worry about running out of anything for themselves due to production’s inability to keep up with demand, which is where the real bottleneck lies, not in actual supply of raw material.
