Using nukes would make almost no sense

There are cleaner and much more directed/precise ways to kill. Nukes are antiquated. Technology has improved greatly since WWII and the Cold War.

Weapon tech is actually where most tech originates. The weapons that are invented by countries and companies remain in the secret realm for as long as possible, until an even better weapon is invented. Then, the inventions that created the now-bested weapon can be parted out, tweaked and repurposed for commercial uses in the public realm.

The stuff our governments have right now are probably decades or more away from being disclosed to the public.

Nukes are sloppy. They make large swaths of land/resources unusable for a very long amount of time. Sure, they'll likely be used again, especially for shock value. However, if they're used for shock value, it will be done sparingly and in places that aren't rich in natural resources. Possibly Russia...they do have vast swaths of land that aren't really good for much. But I digress...

It wouldn't make sense to use nukes, especially when the cult of elites is so into preaching environmental protection to justify what they do. They - all of them together - conspire to carve the world up to suit their desires. Their cult might have internal arguments and fractures if part of their plan involved the destruction of desirable parts of the world/environment. They'll use poisons, biologicals and directed energy weapons (5G) - or other stuff - when they go for the mass cull. Not nukes.
