I was ghosted by someone who hit on me in the first place.
I mean, truth is my initial assessment of him was "shallow", but I wanted to give him benefit of the doubt. He seemed really stable and like he was working on himself. He ghosted me and then I called him and asked him what was up and he, like a total coward, gave a lame excuse instead of telling me "geez, I'm sorry I'm just not interested anymore". The point is my initial gut feeling was correct. The whole thing took up my time because I didn't listen to it.

They simply act like they are going to call you or text and they never do and you never hear from them. You have to chase them down if you want an explanation, and if you do, like in my case, I think most of them will turn out to just be people who fear confrontation or maybe they just fear connection in the first place.

you should have shown it by example

Sometime people ghost others because they might not feel like they will make the other person life any better, rather worse, it might not even be something you did, at this point the only thing you can do is move on and do what you do.

Shown what? I don't fear confrontation, and that was the only time I've ever been ghosted so I called him to ask what was UP? He was like, "oh I got busy". I moved on. Yawn to him for not just texting me a quick text. Again, he hit on me in the first place, I was just giving him a chance.

I think we shouldn't take ghosting too personally. I'd actually prefer it to the rude types anyway.

But I can say this. If I am ever ghosted in the future I won't pursue the matter.
